At our client's Northern CA Facility, they are looking for a motivated Individual to work in a team of Design Engineers interacting closely with Production, Sales, and Process Engineering to help create, test and refine AO (Acousto-Optic) and EO (Electro-Optic) Products through the development cycle to release-to-Manufacturing.
Because of the unique end products our clients sell, the opportunity will initially focus on all technical aspects of prototype build and characterization and evolve over time into customer-based Product Design dependent on the successful Candidates experience and aptitude.
We are looking for an Individual with:
Bachelors or Masters in Science or EngineeringProfessional Experience of 5-10 years in laser or photonics or optics industry. hands-on experimental experience in a Laser / Photonics laboratory excellent interpersonal and communication skills strong analytical thinking Required and Useful SkillsHands on experience with Opto-mechanical assembliesTheoretical understanding of optical beam characteristics including diffractionGaussian beam and/or Ray trace modelling a plusRF electronics background or experience a plus (Impedance transformation circuits)MATLAB or equivalent software experience a plusThermal modelling experience a plusUV and/or MIR optical experience a plus
