Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.

Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our dental practice.

This position will be Monday through Thursday (32 hours a week).


Duties:

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization of instruments
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking dental xrays, providing instruments and materials, and performing suctioning
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and posttreatment care
• Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
• Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, filing documents, and managing patient billing
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
• Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant work experience
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment
• Proficiency in using dental software systems (e.g., Eaglesoft) for scheduling appointments and managing patient records
• Familiarity with medical coding and documentation requirements (HIPAA compliance)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions to patients
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team environment

experience with EagleSoft is preferred but not required. Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply

$ $25.00 per hour
