The role will lead the IBP finance team efforts and be an active participant in all IBP meetings, linking financial & operating metrics to P&L performance, and ensuring operational plans are aligned through the IBP cycle.


Additionally, awareness and integration of Active Portfolio Management (APM)/strategy into the IBP cadence is integral to scenario development and delivering targets.

timely
information to enhance core metrics that drive accountable and predictable results - and make better planning decisions.

The IBP finance role will be expected to interact with candor and challenge others positions to stimulate thought and make sure the best decision is made.


A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Lead the monthly financial process as it relates to IBP, attending all step meetings, and coordinating finance efforts to ensure data driven forecasts that align financial and operational targets. Ensure the quantification of all identified risks and opportunities, including modeling scenarios for integrated reconciliation, ultimately leading to a recommendation in the M onthly Business Reviews that will optimize business financials (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.)
  • In partnership with the IBP BU Lead, act as a strategic thought partner understand, translate, and provide insight into business performance, including competitor and industry trends
  • Serve as an integral link between the supply chain and commercial channels (supply and demand). Effectively differentiate between controllable and uncontrollable (macroeconomic) factors impacting the business, proactively working with both supply chain and market leadership to develop actionable plans to navigate those factors
  • Actively champion the IBP process, providing financial leadership as the link between supply and demand, with the goal to ultimately drive actions that provide the highest financial return. Work collaboratively with commercial teams in the supply chain to align on planned volumes, related revenue/cogs tradeoffs and their financial impact to the business
  • Understand business IBP performance metrics and gather requisite info to track. Understand how the business benchmarks itself on critical KPIs, internally and externally, and proactively collaborate with key stakeholders to address performance
  • Communicate effectively, delivering clear presentations including defending positions on controversial topics, effectively influencing up, down and across the organization in a quest to continuously seek "winwin" solutions
  • Partner closely with cross business/functional managers to play an active role in enhancing connectivity and communication
  • Partner closely with and leverage the broader Finance team for key information, including historical reporting and data collection. May include activities related to cost accounting, margin reporting, analysis of data and management reports, management report generation, etc.
  • Provide various other analytical support for the Operating Unit FP&A activity and business partner with overall Portfolio FP&A lead and IBP PMO. Provide connections to COE inputs
  • Active participation in various business finance initiatives and other duties as assigned
  • Provide recommendations and influence the future direction and evolution of Finance tools and process optimization opportunities with IBP

Must Have:
Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 8+ years)

Nice to Have

  • Solid grounding in financial metrics, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow analysi s and data analytics
  • MS Office (Excel, Power Point and Word) proficiency
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of key drivers of success
  • Demonstrated success in business partnering initiatives across commercial, functional teams and cross functional teams
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups
