    At TekPro, a prominent recruiting agency, we specialize in connecting exceptional talent with top-notch employers. We have partnered with a leading food manufacturer in the St. Charles region to fill a crucial role within their team. This position offers a second shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, ideal for individuals who excel in an evening work setting.

    We are in search of a committed Maintenance Technician to supervise the repair, maintenance, and operational adjustments of food packaging lines, minor building upkeep, and blending area equipment maintenance. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous production of high-quality food items.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Plant Engineer to organize and prioritize maintenance tasks and repairs in different process areas.
    • Support in overseeing food packaging equipment rebuilds and preventive maintenance, focusing on minimizing production downtime.
    • Manage scheduled maintenance activities in coordination with the lead mechanic and coordinator.
    • Offer constructive input and maintain effective communication with the Plant Engineer regarding equipment and maintenance concerns.
    • Ensure timely completion of monthly preventive maintenance checks with precision and thoroughness.
    • Participate actively in continuous maintenance training programs to improve skills and knowledge.
    • Utilize E-Maint software for monitoring preventive maintenance compliance, task assignments, and closing completed work orders.
    • Perform detailed equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements of faulty components using various testing tools and equipment.
    • Adhere to OSHA safety standards and health prerequisites to uphold a secure work environment.
    • Follow plant GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and strictly enforce safety regulations.

    Educational Background:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent is a must.
    • Completion of vocational training in a relevant field is highly preferred.

    Experience and Skills:

    • Demonstrated industrial or manufacturing expertise.
    • Proficiency in the usage of hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and welding devices.
    • Thorough understanding of mechanical systems and machinery operations.
    • Ability to participate in physical tasks like walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Proficient in multitasking and meeting deadlines under pressure.
    • Prior experience with maintenance tracking software and efficiency tools is beneficial.
    • Certification or familiarity with E-Maint software and processes is an added advantage.
