The New York Red Bulls are one of 28 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey.

The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named.

The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.


We are hiring a Part-Time Communications Assistant that reports to the Manager of Communications on our Content and Communications team.

This is a part-time, hourly position that will work out of both Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. and the Red Bulls Training Facility in East Hanover, N.J.


You will manage all communications and media relations needs surrounding New York Red Bulls II, our MLS NEXT Pro Affiliate, and Red Bulls Academy.

You will create and distribute all press releases surrounding both affiliates and create all weekly media assets. You will also work with all New York Red Bulls II players.


Key Responsibilities:
Manage all communications and media relations needs surrounding New York Red Bulls II and Red Bulls Academy.

  • Lead on all MLS NEXT Pro and Academy announcements.
  • Work with Head Coach and players
  • Lead and execute media availabilities
  • Facilitate interviews with Academy staff
Manage media operations for matches at MSU Soccer Park

  • Handle all credential requests for media and broadcast
  • Manage press seating for all the events.
  • Interface with journalists and photographers at games.
  • Oversee communications gameday staff employees on matchdays.
Creating NYRB II media guide and weekly media notes

  • Create and publish full season NYRB II media guide ahead of each season
  • Create weekly game notes package ahead of each match
  • Update player biographies on a weekly basis
  • Update NYRB II record book on a weekly basis
Manage all social media platforms revolving around New York Red Bulls II on Matchday

  • Manage all social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook) for New York Red Bulls to ensure content is being posted a consistent basis on matchdays.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree


Language Requirements:
English, Spanish/Portuguese Plus
