Description
The Maintenance Coordinator will schedule, procure, inventory and oversee maintenance supplies and services.

This role will organize third-party contractors for a variety of maintenance related duties, coordinate maintenance efforts/work orders between company personnel, coordinate preventative maintenance training, and coordinate with service providers, Inventories, analyzes, and orders replenishment parts.

Assists in preparing working inventory reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

  • Provide maintenance work orders to the maintenance team.
  • Source appropriate vendors and service providers.
  • Keep track of supply and material inventories.
  • Purchase equipment, tools, or materials that may be required and as approved by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Update maintenance logs for all machinery.
  • Oversee the program to manage work orders, service schedules, equipment, and parts inventories. Close out projects once completed.
  • Ensure basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for all maintenance equipment in order to extend equipment longevity.
  • Set supplier standards to support purchasing department in maintaining purchasing requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings/committees and help maintain OSHA standards.
  • Maintain an organized record of maintenance logs, observing strict protocols and safety regulations during operations.

Education:


  • High School Diploma required.

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years in a similar role.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Adept at problemsolving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor own work for quality.
  • Dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and requests.
  • Multitask and show flexibility with last minute changes.
  • Work independently and troubleshoot issues as applicable.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Constantly be looking for ways to innovate old methods and practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work may require moderate lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Usually required to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk and hear.
  • Ability to withstand varied environmental conditions, such as cold and heat, extreme wet, within enclosed surroundings.
  • Position requires frequent lifting, standing, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping, bending, and kneeling.
  • Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings.
  • Ability to be on feet majority of shift, frequent walking and standing.
  • Physical strength and good handeye coordination.
  • Must be able to successfully pass Drug and Alcohol preemployment and ongoing screening.
  • Must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, holidays.
