ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation, integration, maintenance, and user support of the College Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Student Information System (SIS), intranet/portal environment, the underlying databases, and related systems and services.
  • Collaborate with end users to translate business needs into technical requirements. Create functional/technical specifications, design, develop, document, test, and deliver the process.
  • Ability to identify opportunities where emerging technologies could have a positive impact on College business processes; conceptualize, scope, and implement solutions; set deliverables and milestones.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders; maintain regular communication; understand user expectations.
  • Contribute to building required level of documentation for requirements, design, code and implementation process.
  • Maintain user accounts and permissions.
  • Training staff on database/system operation as needed.
  • Maintain data integrity and security.
  • Work with administrative users on standardizing data collection and creating workflow procedures to automate and streamline departmental processes.
  • Create and design custom data reports for College departments and client module managers/staff.
  • All other duties as assigned.

KEY COMPETENCIES:


  • Technical Capacity.
a. Strong understanding of data design, architecture, relational databases, and data modeling. (MSSQL preferred)

b. Comfortable working everywhere in the stack (databases, server-side, client-side, user interface)

c. Knowledge of GIT pipeline and/or Microsoft IIS a plus.

d. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and programming tools.

EDUCATION:


  • Associate's Degree with relevant work experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in technology related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum of three years of experience with SQL databases and transactional processing required. (Microsoft SQL preferred)
  • Minimum of three years programming and system analysis (C#,.NET, JAVA, PHP, ASP, XML, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and REST or similar languages preferred)
  • Prior experience creating reporting tools (InfoMaker preferred) and/or tools to automate and optimize processes.
  • Experience with Jenzabar a plus.
