This position has a flexible number of hours, with a maximum of 20 per week.

Student workers are needed as early as 7:30am.

Service Desk closes at 8:00pm.

Saturday hours are from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

This position is 100% on campus.

    Job Description Summary
  • All OIT student workers are required to work on the Service Desk as well as the switchboard.
  • The switchboard handles all incoming calls to the University and reroutes them to the appropriate department.

Specific Duties

  • Assist users with password changes and other firstlevel support.
  • Route phone calls to appropriate department/person.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must speak and write English clearly.
  • Must be a current ULV student

Benefits Summary

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.


University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan - can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.


In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.

Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
