    Summary

    The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, delivery, and communication of various internal technology projects within W.E. O'Neil. The IT Project Manager is an excellent communicator and collaborates with cross-departmental teams, manages project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensures that technology projects align with organizational goals. The IT Project Manager manages the technical team, and is also the main point of contact for project stakeholders, the IT team, leadership, and end-users.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Project Planning and Execution

    • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, schedule, objectives, timelines, budget, and deliverables.
    • Coordinate with key stakeholders to define project requirements and success criteria.
    • Coordinate and supervise the project team members, assign tasks and responsibilities, and monitor their performance and progress.
    • Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.
    • Manage assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of projects.
    • Manage and update the overall departmental project schedule.
    • Assist in documentation of processes and systems.

    Stakeholder Communication

    • Act as the primary point of contact between the technical team and stakeholders.
    • Establish and implement project communication plans, maintaining open and clear communication channels.
    • Conduct regular project meetings, reviews, and retrospectives with the project team and stakeholders, and provide timely and accurate project updates and feedback
    • Provide regular project status updates to project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and milestones.
    • Address stakeholder concerns and adapt project plans as needed to meet evolving requirements.

    Resource Management

    • Identify and allocate appropriate resources for project tasks and activities.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to determine project scope and estimated demand.
    • Prioritize projects based on resources and stakeholder level of importance.
    • Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
    • Anticipate potential resource constraints and proactively address issues to keep projects on track.
    • Establish methods for holding team members accountable for deliverables and overall project success.
    • Train and mentor personnel.
    • Identify when external resources are required and if so, provide options to decision makers.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, engineering, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience as a technical project manager the construction industry, or a directly related industry.
    • 2+ years of experience leading a team of 3-6 direct reports.
    • Proven track record managing multiple projects and meeting various deadlines simultaneously.
    • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (Asana, MS Project, Agile)
    • Experience communicating with a variety of both business and technology stakeholders and cross-functional groups.
    • Understanding of construction project management processes and technology integration is a plus.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
