Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer With a focus on quality, you will collaborate with developers and designers to provide the best value to our customers.
Responsibilities
Conducts evaluation of software/systems activities including requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, test, verification and validation. Defines appropriate measures to ensure product quality.
Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software/system quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.
Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts. Reviews software/systems design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Provides or directs verification and validation of software system requirements, traceability, and testability.Develops, publishes, and implements test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed, applications throughout the full lifecycle.
Develops automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts and data set.
Participates in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing.
Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects by working with developers and/or engineers to ensure the software or hardware development process has an appropriate level of testing.
Pro-actively investigates and finds potential security holes and attack vectors within both the existing and newly-developed code base.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
Preferred Skills and Experience
Clearance Required:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
