The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking a highly motivated Engineer to join its Security Engineering team at the Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU) Charleston site.
The newest team member will be responsible for the development and implementation of physical security systems (e.g., access control, biometrics, video, barrier devices) at NPTU Charleston.
In addition, the candidate will perform the following responsibilities for NPTU Charleston physical security systems:perform engineering reviews for construction projects to ensure alignment with applicable security requirements, provide Work Control Officer (WCO) support, provide oversight for preventative/corrective maintenance activities, and manage the budget.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience; Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or qualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; Prior experience developing and implementing physical security systems.
Prior experience reviewing applicable DOE and DOD requirements and developing compliance implementation plans.
