- Analyze existing programs against industry and market data to ensure programs are equitable, meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective.
- Evaluates existing company benefit programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments and recommends changes to company employee benefits and compensation programs to ensure competitiveness.
- Develops, administers, and implements approved employee benefit programs, procedures, and policies.
- Develops benefits communications and counsels employees on benefits related issues.
- Develops cost control procedures and monitors to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to company and employee.
- Works closely with third parties including vendors, administrators, actuaries, etc. in the administration of plans.
- Ensures legislative and regulatory compliance of the design and administration of all plans.
- Assistance with miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- 5-7 years experience in benefit programs with at least 3-4 years in a health and welfare program analysis role
- In depth knowledge of state and federal laws & regulations related to benefits such as ERISA, FMLA and COBRA.
- Excellent problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
- The ideal candidate will be well organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player able to effectively work across all levels of the organization.

Overview:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the management & administration of all employee benefits programs such as pension and 401(k) plans; medical & dental plans; term life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; accidental death policies, wellness plans and other related benefit plans. They will be responsible for managing complex benefit policies and feel comfortable in supporting a remote and in-person work force across North America.
