- Designs circuit and integrated systems for signal projects assigned to provide the basic ingredient required to accomplish the signal engineering function.
- Prepares accurate cost and time estimates for various proposed projects to provide management with information needed to help determine the viability of the projects under consideration.
- Prepares detailed material lists, specifications, ordering references, and requisitions for procurement of material and equipment.
- Provides engineering support to field forces as needed to troubleshoot difficult trouble and to restore facilities damaged by derailments, the elements, outsiders, and any other causes.

Job Description

Provides complete design and engineering for assigned signal projects, automatic signals, interlockings, grade crossing warning systems, defect detectors, classification yards, and any other needed items.
