Security Officer Full Time Days Position Summary
Provides hospital security services for patients, employees and visitors. Protects entity buildings, assets and premises as assigned. Ensures the safety and security of all patients, staff, visitors and property. Patrols the parking lots, external grounds and the interior of the facility. Secures entrance and other designated spaces after hours. Makes rounds in the Central Plant after hours and checks the boiler as required by state mandates. Assists staff, patients and visitors with on-site vehicular problems. Assists medical staff with patient restraints as needed. Collects, logs and disburses patient valuables and lost and found items. Complete Security Incident Reports as required.

Interfaces with the Police and Fire Departments and responds to all emergency situations as needed or directed by policies and procedures.

Assists with helicopter landings of patients and medical staff.


SPECIAL SKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills. Computer knowledge of Word and Excel.


THE SECURITY OFFICER FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High school graduate or GED


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Any security related experience.


PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION:
As required by facility
