- Any registered nurse or advancedpractice nurse must obtain a cancer specific certification ordemonstrate ongoing qualifying education within the timeframe ofthe facilities accreditation cycle, if they work in medicaloncology, radiation oncology, cancer center or cancer clinicand/or administer chemotherapy within an accredited ClevelandClinicfacility.

The Main ED has 68 beds, the23-hour observation clinical decision unit has 10 beds, and thetransition unit has an additional 10 beds. The number of resourcesat Main Campus ED is vast with pharmacy, respiratory, caremanagement, and physicians being right at the bedside.
Asa Registered Nurse in this unit, you will quickly enhance yourskillset in caring for a variety of patients' needs, monitoringtheir health, and taking appropriate action when needed. This is acollaborative and multidisciplinary team where you will besupported, empowered, and valued in your role as a RegisteredNurse. This nurse will work with patients and families andencourage the use of our Med Hub program. This nurse will alsofocus on patients that may be experiencing one or more socialdeterminants of health and focus on those patients that areconsidered high utilizers of the EmergencyDepartment.
