    Description

    We are currently recruiting for an INDIRECT Buyer, for a stable and growing organization located near Oxnard, CA.

    The Indirect Buyer will be responsible for managing indirect purchases, including Capex (Capital Expenditures), MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), and contracts. The role involves developing and implementing purchasing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a strategic approach to managing indirect spend.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute purchasing strategies for indirect categories, including Capex, MRO, and contracts.
    • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships.
    • Optimize costs while maintaining quality and service levels.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, operations, and engineering, to understand purchasing needs and requirements.
    • Manage supplier relationships, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
    • Monitor market trends, analyze data, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to purchasing activities.
    • Stay updated with industry developments and best practices in indirect procurement.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
    • Understands specifications and blueprint reading.
    • Knowledge of procurement tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite, SAP is a must.
