The EHSS Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the EHSS strategy at our Emtek facility in City of Industry, California.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide technical environmental, health, safety, and security support and guidance to facility management; implement EHSS procedures and systems to drive compliance and risk management.
  • Partner with the FBIN Manager, Operations Security for the creation and implementation of facility safety measures.
  • Ensure site goals and objectives are developed and tracked throughout the year.
  • Lead incident investigation process/ensure appropriate corrective actions to eliminate incident recurrence.
  • Ensure all data and information are reported as required in the FBIN system of record in a timely and complete manner.
  • Provide performance input to site team members regarding EHSS leadership, performance, and accountability.
  • Oversee site change management program to ensure that incoming equipment and changes to existing equipment, facilities, or procedures are reviewed and appropriate actions taken to eliminate or mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
  • Develop relevant EHSS training and ensure facility training is conducted; lead training and trainthetrainer sessionsas appropriate.
  • Develop and lead site implementation of the site's strategic EHSS plans with site leadership and corporate EHSS.
  • Serve as primary contact and liaison for regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee EHSSrelated projects and maintain records for inspections and audits.
  • Manage site regulatory permits and obligations; ensure required inspections, monitoring, reporting, communication, etc. are completed per requirements.
  • Ensure that discharges and releases into the air, stormwater, and landfills meet all regulations, codes, and permit requirements.
  • Maintain electronic environmental sustainability data in FBHS' environmental health and safety database.
  • Monitor facility waste streams and their associated cost implement corrective action and improvements as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends, safety legislation and ensures compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5+years of EHSS management experience in general/heavy industrial environment
  • BS/Masters in occupational health & safety, engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field with significant EHSS experience.
  • Bilingual skills in English & Spanish
  • Ability to prioritize continuous improvement focus for the site EHSS (environmental, health, safety, security) programs based on organizational maturity models.
  • Experience designing, writing, and implementing EHS policies and programs.
  • Experience managing workers' compensation claims and information.
  • Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dedicated and committed EHS leadership and presence.
  • Environmental experience maintaining compliance with site permits and other obligations
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - ASP/CSP, PE in environmental engineering or related field, Registered Environmental Manager/Registered Environmental Professional certification are also desirable.

The salary range for this role is $120,000-148,000. Actual salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
