Description

• Verify setup parts needed on the OMCG machinery.
• Check safety equipment on machine prior to operation.
• Utilize proper PPE and adhere to safety regulations required.
• Create new parts or repair existing parts on the OMCG machinery setup.
• Communicate status of parts being produced and quality control issues to the Tool Room Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.
• Input job information into the Job Boss Computer System.
• Perform inspections on equipment to ensure proper operations and safety compliance.
• Make adjustments and sharpen tools as required on OMCG machinery in the Press Department.

• Knowledge of general machining processes.
• Strong math ability and knowledge of measuring devices.
• Knowledge of safety equipment and procedures.
• Ability to operate milling machines, grinders and EDM.
• Knowledge of heat treating and hold close tolerance.
• Mechanical ability and knowledge of blueprints.
• Prior experience in a machinist position or related field.
