The
Data Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is part of the FP&A team reporting to the Manager Data Analytics.

This position will be responsible for providing direction to the management throughout the organization by analyzing financial data, forecasting future trends, and assessing the financial health of the organization and creating accurate financial reporting and data insights by using the company's data and building reports, KPI's, dashboards and visualizations to highlight data trends and anomalies.

Additionally, this role will be involved with the overall financial planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the Company's financial performance.

This involves developing and managing yearly financial budgets, forecasts, company and departmental KPIs.

What You'll Do:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to collaborate and work well with people at various cross functional levels within the company.
  • Conduct regular financial analyses to understand and assess the financial performance of the organization's individual service lines and business as a whole.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and implement financial models to support the company's strategic growth plans, and make recommendations on potential acquisitions, mergers, or other business opportunities.
  • Work with the senior management team to develop and maintain budgets, monitor financial performance against budgeted expectations, and make recommendations for cost reductions and revenue enhancements.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of specific business decisions and advise on potential risks and benefits.
  • Monitor and analyze financial trends within the healthcare services industry and the organization's competitive landscape.
  • Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, investors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and other regulatory filings.
  • Continuously develop tools/systems and automate processes; manage the implementation of a budgeting and forecasting solution to streamline the forecasting and budgeting processes and provide enhanced reporting functionality.
  • Identify key data sources and utilize datadriven insights about important departmental metrics to improve business decisions.

Skills, Capabilities, And Experiences:


  • 45 years' experience in broad data analysis and finance planning & analysis roles, covering both financial and management accounting, preferably in the healthcare services industry.
  • Proven proficiency to understand and analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management that allows effective and efficient achievement of business objectives.
  • Must have expert level proficiency in Microsoft databases including Power BI, MS Access and advanced level excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Financial Tools such as NetSuite data warehouse, ERP and Alteryx is preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and well versed with US GAAP.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail with utmost level of accuracy.
  • A data scientist who is expert at using reporting tools to pinpoint patterns, trends and interrelationships between the various data sets.
  • Excellent Time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Who You Are:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and financial metrics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as NetSuite or other similar financial management software is preferred.
  • Experience with Private Equity or Venture Capital backed firms preferred.
  • Trained in SQL/Alteryx and implementing a midmarket ERP/Financial System.
  • Able to build credibility and trust with all key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional business acumen with a high degree of integrity and ethics
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting time sensitive deadlines.
