Description:Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking an experienced Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to join their team in a dynamic high tempo environment.
The selected candidate will be based in Hanover, Maryland and will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and administering security policies and procedures for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Industrial Security regulations and relevant Federal Security guidelines in line with DOD SCI Manuals, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, and 32 CFR Part 117.
They must also possess in-depth knowledge of Top Secret Controls, Accountability exercises, and OPSEC practices. Additionally, they should be well-versed in established procedures for handling, storing, record-keeping, and managing personnel and visitor access to restricted programs.Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing various security disciplines such as Physical Security with ICD 705, Classification Management, Personnel Security (PERSEC), Security Education, and Security Management, while adhering to DoD Manuals requirements.
The candidate will also be required to develop and conduct security education and training programs for SCI, as well as investigate security breaches and prepare reports outlining necessary preventive measures.
Although primarily a first shift role with a Tuesday to Friday 4X10 work week, there may be instances where mission requirements necessitate work outside of regular hours to meet program demands.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin offers various alternate work schedules to provide added flexibility to employees. These schedules may range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed schedules, allowing for additional time away from the office in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 with every other Friday off
