Key Responsibilities:

Effectively supervise and support a department of employees within the warehouse.


Essential Functions:


  • Effectively overseeing the daytoday job duties of the warehouse employees on assigned team
  • Provide training and support for all employees in their assigned job duties
  • Hold associates accountable to measurable KPI's and ensure they meet performance expectations
  • Performing documented observations periodically
  • Receive inventory, stock shelves, pick orders, perform administrative functions, pack orders and ship orders; as needed
  • Ensuring that an atmosphere of safety, professionalism and respect for associates and customers exists in our warehouse at all times
  • Communicates issues, opportunities and obstacles as they arise
  • Promote a positive and productive work environment

Knowledge, Skills, Duties and Abilities:


  • Oversee the receipt of inventory, stocking of shelves, picking of orders, packaging of orders and shipment of orders
  • Supervise the check and restock merchandise & inventory process, inspect for damage, verify counts and "pickreadiness" on shelves
  • Inspect stock/return areas so that they are kept clean, neat and orderly
  • Responsible for maintaining familiarity as well as knowledge of company product line locations and priorities regarding incoming orders and how they relate to fill rates
  • Will perform observations and provide feedback to assigned associates or teams to develop functional skills and the team overall. Frequency and tempo will change based on the size of the team or the needs of the business overall
  • Expected to perform, participate and/or document the coaching, hiring, training, interviewing or disciplinary actions or any other administrative duties as needed as they relate to the coaching, development or career path of our associates
  • Interact and engage with members of the management team across multiple shifts to ensure that our standards of communication, accuracy, quality and safety are maintained on a daily basis
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation for all scheduled shifts
  • Comply with federal, state, local, OSHA and company policies, procedures, and regulations as they relate to our industrial/warehousing/distribution setting
  • Maintain the highest standards of integrity, honesty, customer service and professionalism that creates positive experiences reflecting well upon assigned department and the company
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment as a self starter with a high sense of urgency and ability to prioritize workflow based on corporate requirements and business needs
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with subordinates, peers and management, both verbally and in writing
  • Participate directly and indirectly in employee coaching sessions and performance evaluations and exemplify highest standards of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce both individually and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Perform other duties and/or work in other departments of work location as assigned

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent;
  • 13 years front line warehouse supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Must submit to and successfully pass a preemployment drug screen
  • Provide and maintain a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation (MVR Report must be obtained by applicant and submitted for approval prior to hire date)
  • Acknowledgement of and adherence to all Company policies and procedures as contained within the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver's Handbooks, which will be provided at the time of hire

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:


  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, and stoop
  • Also required to climb, balance, crouch or crawl, squat, talk, speak, and hear
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • May be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and/or vehicles, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration.
