This posting is for elementary certified and/or secondary certified teachers to teach a summer support program (strategies) as targeted assistance. Teachers will be expected (and compensated where appropriate) to work with the Summer Support Coordinator, as well as district administration to develop programming/curriculum for this program. Teachers will be asked to help develop/obtain resources, and develop instructional plans for each class consistent with district best practices. The Summer Support program will consist of two 90-minute sessions. The program will run from June 24 to July 23 (excluding July 4 and 5). Teachers will also be expected to attend a meeting prior to the start of the program.

Teachers will be expected to:


Plan and submit planning documents to the Summer Support Coordinator for Review.

Take daily attendance

Help with safety and security protocols

Assess student progress

Grade student progress

Create a safe environment for student learning

Engage students in standard-based learning

Communicate with families as to the progress of students

Other expectations as consistent with standard teaching practices

The stipend for this program is: $3408 (inclusive of teaching two sessions and prep/planning time). The stipend will be appropriately pro-rated if teaching load/hours are reduced based on need.
