Position Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Daily inbound and outbound call activity responsible for managing inbound calls, and screen for quality and alignment of company loan product guidelines. Target 50 plus outbound phone calls per day, using data, and prospective client contact information to evaluate alignment with Anchor's target borrowers
  • Through consistent evaluating of call scripts, work with manager to refine and design call strategies, and scripts to perfect call conversion
  • Client Acquisition: Identifying and prospecting potential borrowers and real estate investors in need of shortterm, high interest loans
  • Relationship Building: Cultivating strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other industry professionals to generate business opportunities
  • Market Research: Staying informed about real estate market trends and identifying opportunities for lending
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in the lending process
  • Sales and Negotiation: Effectively negotiating terms and conditions of hard money loans and closing deals
  • Reporting: Maintaining records and providing regular reports on business development activities and outcomes
  • Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to clients, addressing their needs, and addressing any concerns
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with underwriters, loan processors, and other team members to facilitate the loan process
  • Target Achievement: Meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals set by the company
  • Continual Learning: Staying updated on changes in lending practices and regulations
  • Ability to work in office in Thousand Oaks, California

Desired Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business or economics preferred
  • Knowledge of hard money lending and practices, regulations and industry trends
  • Strong sales negotiation skills are essential for building and maintaining client relationships
  • A solid understanding of financial analysis, credit evaluation, and risk assessment is important
  • Effective networking and relationshipbuilding skills to connect with potential borrowers, brokers, and real estate professionals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex financial information to clients and colleagues
  • The ability to analyze potential lending opportunities and assess risk is vital
  • Stay updated on market conditions, real estate trends, and the competition
  • Knowledge of relevant lending regulations and the ability to ensure all transactions are compliant
  • Strong problemsolving skills to navigate complex lending scenarios
  • Collaborative skills to work with underwriters, legal teams and other stakeholders in the lending process
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to manage client relationships and lending opportunities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in using CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • High ethical standards and integrity when dealing with clients and financial transactions
