The opportunity


Reporting to our Senior HR Generalist, and part of the People and Growth Team (P&G) team, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for compliance, workers' compensation claims, employee relations, and administrative duties.

This role is critical in ensuring we are only working with the best educators, and supporting our purpose of placing the right teacher in the right classroom.

Collaborating with various teams across the organization, our business couldn't operate without these vital players.

The responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR, education consultants, finance and leadership teams.
  • Lives our BE GREAT values and positively influences other team members to do the same.
  • Providing Human Resources support as needed in areas such as onboarding, employee relations, workers' compensation claim reporting and benefits management, and other related activities
  • Partner with the P&G Director in managing employee relation matters and be responsible for full cycle processes through to resolution and escalate as needed
  • Supports the onboarding process of internal staff
  • Checking and clearing of criminal background checks
  • Serve as a point of contact to team members, answer questions, and help employees navigate all aspects of HR
  • Partner with team members on performance management, and mentoring conversations
  • Maintain and update internal HR documentation
  • Remain up to date on local employment legislation and compliance
  • Handles various state unemployment claims
  • Responds to any and all inquiries from our educators
  • General office operations

The requirements

Must have:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced, highenergy environment with a proven ability to meet and complete multiple deadlines and tasks
  • Hands on experience as a HR Coordinator in California and or multistate experience which includes but is not limited to compliance, workers' compensation claims, benefits, and managing employee relations
  • Strong organization skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Initiative: A problemsolving mentality that likes to take on any challenge
  • Teamfirst approach that others trust, and can rely upon

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Background working within education
  • Experience in administration and/or customer service roles

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
