    Description

    Minimum Hiring Wage:

    Scheduled Hours:
    Days, 8 hour shifts

    $5,000 sign on bonus for eligible candidates


    Job Description:


    Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.

    Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Dictates discharge summaries as directed by supervising physician. Rounds daily on patients, placing notes in chart, checking incision site and vital signs. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Licensing or registration required.

    Include advance practice nurses such as:
    nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, certified nurse midwives, and certified registered nurse anesthetists.

    Advanced practice nursing is practiced by RNs who have specialized formal, post-basic education and who function in highly autonomous and specialized roles.

    Educates patients on the process of a surgical procedure and expectations. May assist the physician in the operating room.


    Qualifications:

    Required:
    Current license as a registered nurse in the state of Iowa
