- Hold a 4-year Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting and at least 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role or a history of progressive career growth in hotel finance (or similar industry)
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss reporting, and balancing ledgers for operating and balance sheet accounts
- Aptitude for analyzing numerical data and formulating conclusions and/or solutions
- Proven leadership and coaching skills with a track record of developing a highly motivated team of accounting professionals
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to conduct effective group meetings and presentations
- Superior Computer skills: Microsoft Office, POS/PMS systems, and Excel
- Ability to think creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement business strategies
- Utilize effective interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and drive performance
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and strong financial and operational leadership skills
- Maintain peak performance levels under pressure and in a dynamic work environment
- Verify accuracy and timeliness of all finance functions: reporting, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management
- Complete comprehensive month-end close, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze profit performance
- Develop and achieve financial goals, create operating plans aligned with strategic direction
- Provide analytical tools and support to department heads during budget preparation
- Implement business practices supporting sales-driven culture, analyze variances, advise on financial and operational issues
- Facilitate monthly reviews to uncover challenges, manage capital expenses, oversee audit processes, and ensure strong accounting controls
- Continuous direction and education of the operational team in finance-related areas, foster professional relationships within the management group
- Conduct coaching, annual reviews, cross-train team members, set high standards for performance, and support the property's core values and service culture
