    About us

    VDL Industries Gainesville LLC is company number 99 in the VDL Groep and the first manufacturing facility in the U.S. Operations are from a state-of-the-art, 150,000-square-foot facility located in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The VDL Industries facility consists of the following work centers: laser cutting, metal forming, welding (MIG/TIG), electronic assembly/general assembly, sawing, drilling, shipping, storage opportunities, and Quality Control. VDL Industries utilizes a dedicated area for stainQuality Engineerless steel welding and assembly operations.

    Summary/Objective:

    VDL Industries Gainesville is seeking a passionate and results-oriented to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring customer satisfaction by implementing and maintaining robust quality assurance practices, conducting thorough inspections, and effectively resolving quality issues. You will leverage your problemsolving skills to identify root causes and implement corrective actions, contributing to continuous improvement and excellence across our production processes.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Required: Associates degree in Engineering (Quality, Manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent experience.
    • Preferred: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.

    Experience:

    • Required: 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
    • Preferred: Experience in metal and assembly fabrication
    • Highly Preferred: Proven track record of exceeding customer satisfaction goals through proactive quality initiatives.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    Technical Skills:

    Required:

    • Proficient in quality inspection methodologies and tools (CMM -Zeiss Calypso, SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, etc.).
    • High proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams).
    • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data interpretation.
    • Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
    • Experience with internal audits, problem solving and developing corrective action plans
    • Experience in analyzing data and identifying trends
    • Experience in risk based thinking methodologies and tools (e.g., FMEA, SWOT)
    • Proficiency with the 7 Tools of Quality Control (e.g., Pareto, Fishbone, Control Charts, Histograms, Scatter Diagrams, Check Sheets, Flowcharts)
    • Proficiency with Quality Core Tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Preferred:

    • Experience with VBS or other similar ERP Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
    • Knowledge of Clean Room Standards

    Highly Preferred:

    • Experience with Project Management principles and tools
