- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and preparing payments
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with accounting principles and company policies
- Track and analyze job costs to ensure accuracy and completeness of project expenses
- Prepare job cost reports and variance analysis to monitor project performance and profitability
- Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely recording of project expenses
- Assist with the development and implementation of cost control measures to optimize project profitability
- Source and purchase raw and finish materials from suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, materials usage, and purchasing transactions using inventory management software
- Review purchase orders and contracts for accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, job cost accounting or purchasing role
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of the construction industry and job costing principles is a plus
