    We have an opening for a DevOps Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization supporting delivery of Satellite Ground Systems solutions into NG and customer environments.

    This position will be in Dulles, VA , with some percentage in a SCIF.

    Job ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will:

    Work with stakeholders to deliver software solutions onto complex OpenStack and hybrid-cloud systems consisting of 750 to 1500 nodes, deployed in 6+ environments with an eye toward current requirements and future needsAutomate system deployment, operation, patching, compliance, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management toolingEvangelize digital transformation and cloud tooling use both internally within Northrop Grumman and with our customersCollaborate with DevOps teams on other similar programsLead program Infrastructure team: play a mentoring role to cross-train, grow technical talent across DevOps team, assist in troubleshooting tasks, and impart vision to team and leadershipDocument procedures to impart consistent, repeatable processesTo be successful in this role you should demonstrate most of the following:Proven experience working within IT Systems Design, Deployment and Administration, with recent roles in Technical or Team Leadership positionsDemonstrable experience designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutionsExtensive experience of administration of Linux and Windows Operating Systems within large corporate environmentsExtensive experience of designing, deploying, and troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including Subnetting, OSPF Routing, VLANs and VPNsExperience of automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or TerraformAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times and shifting prioritiesProven troubleshooting skills and willingness to take on unfamiliar challenges3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, & Ansible3+ years of experience in Linux tools/automation and shell scripting3+ years of experience in Python1+ years of experience with OpenStack management3+ years of experience with Docker containerization, Kubernetes (K8s) preferred3+ years of experience with continuous integration/deployment tools such as Jenkins or GitLab3+ years creating, executing, and troubleshooting complex, automated processes used to configure servers and/or deploy codeIn this role, you will be the infrastructure technical lead for a team of DevOps Automation Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers and System Administrators.

    Basic QualificationsBachelors degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 20 years of experience; OR a masters degree and 18 years: OR a PhD and 15 years.

    Experience can be considered in lieu of degree12+ year(s) of DevOps or software development experience7+ years in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives and Jira metrics reportingU.S.

    Citizenship with a current or active Top-Secret clearance.

    Salary Range:
    $203,300 - $304,900The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

    In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
