    Job DescriptionAutism Advocacy and Intervention is expanding our ABA services to Macon, Georgia with this Part to Full Time position. We offer this exciting opportunity

    Position Overview

    Autism Advocacy and Intervention, AAI expects our Lead RBTs to continue to learn and grow in their career in order to provide cutting edge Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. We rely on dependable individuals to be members of our team. Overall, the Lead RBT will model and implement skill acquisition plans designed by the BCBA, support R/BTs in the direct sessions, providing BST, generalization, a higher level of clinical service, provide direct sessions for all clients when cancellations occur, maintain your own continued caseload of direct service, and model and implement behavior reduction protocols based on the principles of ABA within home, school, clinic, and community settings.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Provide 1:1 behavior intervention services in the home, school, group, clinic, and community settings for children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities and their families
    • Provide direct services as a float to any case with a staff cancellation for coverage
    • Assist the Program Supervisor in opening new cases including acting as temporary direct and/or to support the R/BT
    • Assist the Program Supervisor with modeling, teaching using BST, and supporting newly hired or newly assigned R/BTs
    • Assist Program Supervisor(s) with assessments, case fill-ins, and program material development as assigned
    • Work with the Senior Program Specialist of Training & Development to overlap with new BT Trainees during their training and when beginning working on cases.
    • Work with the Senior Program Specialist of Training & Development to support R/BTs with specific identified areas for growth
    • Utilize, model, and exemplify skills with a combination of discrete trial training (DTT) and natural environment training (NET) arrangements
    • Follow, model, and implement behavioral intervention programs, behavioral skill acquisition plans, and behavior reduction protocols as directed by the Program Supervisor BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
    • Collaborate with Program Supervisor(s) providing feedback for optimizing individualized goals and objectives for home-based, school, and community programs for each individual on caseload
    • Collaborate with Program Supervisor(s) by providing objective feedback and IOA data on support cases with other R/BTs
    • Collect, record, and summarize data during every session
    • Attend regular team meetings to review client progress
    • Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols
    • Assist with parent and caregiver education in line with client's individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols
    • Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Program Supervisor
    • Utilize safe, appropriate, and ethical procedures when working with clients
    • Maintain client confidentiality
    • Assist BCBAs, APSs, SPSs, R/BTs, and all other staff members involved in client care with skill acquisition, behavior reduction assessments, initial assessment probing, and client material creation
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
    • Collaborate with the treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, R/BTs, and all other co-workers
    • Maintain and teach advanced technical ABA knowledge and terminology by attending required trainings and providing support to BTs and RBTs

    • Fluency with Central Reach project management system and ability to assist others with using the system
    • Ability to interpret and implement clinical and written protocols and skill acquisition plans
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Fluency with ABA terminology per the RBT task list
    • Ability and skills to provide telehealth services direct and as support to R/BTs
    • Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up

    Basic and Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment as needed
    • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time
    • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection
    • Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements
    • Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication
    • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means
    • Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites within your designated area if applicable
    • Must be able and willing to maintain a cancellation rate in accordance with the Handbook

    Education

    • Minimum: Associate's Degree and/or at least 2 years of experience as an RBT
    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
    • Preferred: Interest in or actively working towards a Master's/BCBA Certification

    Experience

    • Minimum: At least 1 year of experience working as an RBT
    • Preferred: At least 2 years of experience working as an RBT
    • Have and maintain active RBT certification/credential

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Be available for scheduled intervention sessions: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (weekend hours may be required at times with notice)
    • Authorized to work in the United States
    • Reliable transportation and active/valid driver's license and automobile insurance
    • Background check is required
    • Other certifications: CPR and First Aid may apply
    • Maintain all up to date attendance at and signage of AAI policies, procedures, and trainings
    • Track and maintain a minimum of 5% of direct hours worked supervised by a BCBA
    • Provides & Maintains Updated Immunization Records: AAI understands that the California law for Immunizations is murky and controversial. However, for the purpose of universal precautions, AAI is expecting employees to be up to date with their immunizations: Hepatitis B, tetanus shot, measles/German measles, and chicken pox. In addition, a yearly TB test within 30 days of hire and prior to servicing cases is required.
