- Provide hands on engineering support to the operations team with a concentration on machinery, tooling, and Software.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our software systems and programs that drive our manufacturing equipment and process. Recommend upgrades and/or replacements to these systems to improve efficiency.
- In conjunction with our Operations group, actively lead and participate in developing and maintaining proper training procedures for operating our machinery and equipment.
- Prepare cost justification documentation for new capital equipment initiatives.
- Work closely with new and existing machinery and technology vendors to ensure the successful implementation of their products into our manufacturing process.
- Create routings and item masters for manufactured components.
- Generate programming for various CNC machining centers.
- Create and maintain CAD drawings and documentation using AutoCad and Inventor.
- Mentor and direct junior engineers and college interns.
- Assist and Support the product development team to ensure successful launches of all new products.

- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related
- 5-10 years relevant work experience
- Experience leading the design and implementation of manufacturing work cells
- Strong background in Project Management
- Knowledge of CNC programmable equipment and wood manufacturing processes
- Strong PC skills using MS Office Suite, Autocad, Alphacam, Wood Wop, Ardis
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed
- Interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally to The Stow Company
- Must have excellent customer service skills; including strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel in an office and a manufacturing environment
- Ability to take the initiative and work well independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Sitting at workstation approximately 50 percent of work time
- Standing and walking approximately 50 percent of work time
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs on occasion
- Must be able to travel between plant and office locations
- Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces
- Manufacturing environment with multiple machinery and moving parts

Primary Purpose of the Position:
Perform Engineering duties to support all work areas in the manufacturing of metal-based products.Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and IT, to ensure that machinery, tooling, and software are performing at maximum levels.Support Maintenance in analyzing and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
