- Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field (or equivalent work experience). MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in distribution center management, preferably in fashion with a house of brands
- Strong understanding of inventory management and EuroSort automation.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading and developing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (Manhattan preferred) and logistics software.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with Reverse Logistics and return processing.

Position Overview:The Director of Distribution is a pivotal role on our supply chain team and needs a dynamic, high-energy leader.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our distribution operations to ensure a culture of engagement and safety for all associates, effective management of inventory, retail and wholesale distribution, and cross functional partnership with key stakeholders.
You will play a critical role in managing overall operating expenses, optimizing processes, driving operational excellence, enhancing overall customer satisfaction, and fostering an engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities:1.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute strategic plans for the distribution center in alignment with company goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
2.
Inventory Management:
Lead inventory control efforts to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage. Implement best practices for inventory tracking, storage, and replenishment to support both retail and wholesale operations.
3.
Retail/Wholesale Distribution:
Oversee order processing, picking, packing, and shipping operations to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines. Implement systems and procedures to streamline processes and optimize resource utilization.
4.
Capacity Management:
Effectively manage space to ensure the Distribution Center effectively grows with our house of brands and wholesale business.
5.
Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and direction to the distribution center team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop staff to enhance their skills and capabilities and drive associate engagement with our frontline workforce.
6.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of outbound shipments. Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.
7.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards to maintain a safe and secure working environment. Implement safety protocols, training programs, and risk mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and injuries.
8.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including human resources, maintenance/engineering, supply chain, retail operations, finance and transportation to coordinate activities and achieve common objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address issues, resolve challenges, and drive results.
