Proposal Support Specialist

Essential Job Functions:


Business Development Support:


  • Work with General Managers' ("GMs") to assist in the implementation of their strategy for capturing new business opportunities and focus support efforts accordingly.
  • Conduct daily research to capture new business opportunities and potential clients as directed.
  • Review, prioritize, and present potential opportunities to GMs.
  • Identify and observe virtual industry events to evaluate customers, opportunities, and competitors.

Capture Management:


  • Assess risks and/or benefits of pursuing and winning.
  • Develop win strategy/themes.
  • Assess the incumbent/competition.
  • Identify gaps in the experience or team composition.
  • Identify and analyze customer pain points.

Proposal Support and Technical Writing:


  • Assess current deadlines and prioritize in Team's calendar.
  • Coordinate, draft, edit and finalize sources sought as directed by GMs.
  • Review and analyze requests for proposals, create Compliance Matrix and develop appropriate data calls and proposal templates.
  • Identify, prioritize, and assign proposal tasks.
  • Facilitates communication among team members by discussing how each requirement is addressed.
  • Draft, edit, incorporate, and refine sections of proposals as needed, ensuring sections are compliant with the proposal requirements.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and subcontractors for technical details and insights as directed.

Administrative Tasks:


  • Manage and organize documents related to proposals and business development activities on SharePoint.
  • Manage and organize documents related to proposals and business development activities (NDAs, TAs, etc.).
  • Ensure all records are up to date and easily accessible.
  • Regularly gather and integrate feedback from stakeholders to improve proposal quality and business development processes.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings related to proposal development, business development, and strategy alignment.
  • Work closely with GM/ team members to ensure a collaborative approach to proposals and business development.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices to improve processes, responses, and outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit reports on work status and business development support activities to Senior Management as directed.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience writing proposals
  • Minimum 3 years' experience providing business development support
