We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and Qualifications:
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists in the delivery of patient care as established by the licensed Occupational Therapist to reach treatment goals through a written treatment plan.
The COTA maintains good communication with physicians, licensed therapists, nurses, allied health professionals, social workers, discharge planners, and hospital personnel.
The COTA participates in continuous quality improvement and strives to excel in customer service.Employee will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the neonate, infant/child, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.
The COTA actively participates in occupational therapy activities and inservices training.What qualifications you will need:
Minimum Education and Training:
- Graduate of a twoyear college program for Occupational Therapy Assistants. Associate degree that has been approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Successful completion of NBCOT certification examination for Occupational Therapy Assistant
Minimum Work Experience:
- One year experience in Acute/Rehabilitation Therapy, preferred.
