    Location: NYC 10032

    Hours: 35hrs work week

    Onsite - 9am to 5pm (1 hour for lunch), will include occasional evenings and weekends, as projects and events require.

    4-month contract; possible temp to perm depending on performance

    • Must Haves:Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience
    • 3+ years of related experience.
    • Excel, MS Office skills, and Advance (or similar fundraising database) experience required.
    • Occasional evenings and weekends hours
    • Preferred:Experience working for a senior member of a management team
    • Skills in basic research
    • Advanced MS SharePoint experience preferred.
    • Higher education experience

    Job Summary/Description:

    • This job is for a Development Associate. This individual will be reporting to the Executive Director of Development. The role involves providing administrative support for the development team's daily operations, focusing on fundraising for various departments and initiatives. The Development Associate will also work with the Executive Director to improve administrative practices across the team and serve as a local expert for other staff members. Responsibilities include:Writing and coordinating donor reports, solicitation letters, thank-you letters, and special acknowledgment letters (35%)
    • Assisting with prospect research and proposal development, managing database entry, and interacting with internal and external parties (20%)
    • Scheduling appointments and meetings, preparing agendas, notifying participants, and follow-up (15%)
    • Maintaining donor lists for accuracy, managing files and database portfolios (10%)
    • Assisting with organizing board and committee events (10%)
    • Other related duties and special projects as assigned (10%)
    • Additional tasks include coordinating events like advisory board meetings and forums related to specific initiatives.
