Job summary
This recruitment is to establish an Eligibility List for the July 2026 Law Enforcement Academy held at Butte Community College.The Academy will run July through December 2026 and the City is looking to sponsor up to five individuals based on Council-approved budgeting.
Individuals who successfully complete the academy will subsequently roll to A step probationary Police Officer status.
- Receive training in providing general law enforcement and public service duties;
- Participate in academic tasks and testing activities;
- Participate in review and observation activities conducted at the academy or in the field;
- Perform related duties as assigned.
