    **PRIMARY FUNCTION:**

    The Concierge fulfills personal and professional requests for guests to include room and meal confirmations, tours, entertainment, transportation, travel arrangements and shipping & receiving services. The concierge will provide information about local Colonial Williamsburg attractions and recommendations for special occasions and special events in addition to up-selling the different services and restaurants of our property.

    **WORK TO BE PERFORMED:**

    Ensure client satisfaction by checking room status, cleanliness and setup, lighting, audio-visual and information technology setups, correcting any deficiencies.

    Serve as on-site Colonial Williamsburg Company representative during functions.

    Meet daily with event planners to review requirements.

    Consult with in-house staff and vendors and coordinate use of Colonial Williamsburg Company services to meet client needs.

    Complete appropriate paperwork and resolve any issues, complaints or problems to ensure quality delivery of service and client satisfaction.

    Keep BEO book up-to-date daily.

    Main point of contact for conferences.

    Maintain the Daily Flash Report regarding any details for the day in the Conference Center.

    **QUALIFICATIONS:**

    In-depth knowledge of hotel operations and general knowledge of Colonial Williamsburg generally gained through a two-year degree in hotel or business related studies or two to four years experience with increasing responsibilities in hotel or hospitality related fields.

    Must be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work under sometimes stressful conditions and deadlines; handle multiple projects simultaneously; work evenings, weekends and occasional holidays as required, and drive to outside sales calls.

    Maintain a positive, enthusiastic outlook; smile and greet guests, employees, managers, and supervisors; show respect for and cooperate at all times with those for whom and with whom you work; report to work as scheduled and on time; meet appearance standards; perform assigned tasks accurately and on time.

    Must be able to use Microsoft Excel and other various hotel programs and effectively manage the Concierge Business Center.
