Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is an established Food and Environmental Testing laboratory in the City of Commerce that offers Microbiological and Chemical testing.

Michelson Laboratories has assembled a team of experienced food scientists to meet the needs of the food manufacturing industry and are looking for a full-time (M-F), entry-level, Microbiology Quality Specialist to help assist with the overall implementation of the Quality Assurance program in both the Microbiology and Chemistry Laboratories.

Duties for the Microbiology Quality Officer:
Assist in maintaining the document control system
Preparing and Reviewing QC Records for various projects
Performing equipment Calibrations
Reviewing QC data
Help to ensure the overall implementation of the Quality Assurance program within the Microbiology department
Identify and effectively communicate with the team regarding any issues
Conducting internal audits to assure compliance with SOPs, ISO/IEC 17025, ELAP, USDA, IMS, and other regulatory guidelines.
Assist and report to the Quality Systems Manager

No previous quality or laboratory experience is required, previous experience is a plus.

Requirements:

A.A.

or B.S in sciences in a closely related field such as Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
