Production Team Leader Nights 2-2-3 pattern 6 pm - 6 am

  • Acts as a leader at the Site putting Safety First in all responsibilities and ensuring that Safety Rules are being followed.
  • Fosters a culture that aligns with Amcor's Core Values of: Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability and Results and Outperformance.
  • Functions as a hybrid Relief Supervisor / Operator / Shipping / Receiving / Planning Employee.

Compensation:
$31.16/hour + $1.20/hour shift differential


Responsibilities

  • Execute Leader Standard Work including but not limited to the following responsibilities:
  • DLM Meeting Facilitation
  • Inventory Management / Planning / Ordering
  • Logistics Execution
  • Production Execution (P Loc)
  • COA Creation
  • Engages in regular Thermoforming Operator duties as required.
  • Leads Safety initiatives as assigned
  • Lead CTO efforts working with external vendors or internal resources
  • Active role in interviewing process
  • Execute site training plan
  • Provide training, coaching and feedback to department employees.
  • Investigate and recommend improvements related to near miss, property damage, or employee injury incidents.
  • Evaluate equipment and material problems and proactively work with the shift to resolve them.
  • Monitor employee interactions to ensure they comply with Amcor Core Values.
  • Support the plant safety program by actively participating in improvement programs.

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Strong communication and team skills necessary in working with equipment suppliers and contractors and in sharing project information with internal departments.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft software, including Word and Excel and SAP. Necessary to fill out and distribute thorough order confirmations and reports.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills to effectively contribute to executing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of technical concepts and practices as they relate to Amcor Flexible Packaging manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills to effectively contribute to executing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of technical concepts and practices as they relate to Amcor manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with suppliers and supplier's equipment and how it fits Amcor requirements.
  • This person must also be willing to work overtime when projects require, or work demand is high; must be willing to work callins or scheduled callin weekends.
  • Able to work in high stress/ high demand situations
  • Willingness to attend training sessions to gain further knowledge pertaining to job duties.
  • Willingness to fill in on the 12hour night and day shifts as needed.

  • Production supervision, Quality, Maintenance or related experience totaling 5 or more years preferred OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Computer proficiency required (MS Office Suite experience preferred), SAP experience a plus
