    Job Title: Strategic Urban Planner

    Location(s): VA: Pentagon (Main Campus)

    Hours: Regular Full-Time

    Clearance Requirements:

    What you will be doing:

    We are currently looking for a Strategic Urban Planner to support the Washington Headquarters Service Integrated Services Division, Parking Management Office. The role involves providing program support to senior leaders, conducting independent analysis of project requirements, and assisting in strategic planning. Key responsibilities include utilizing quantitative and qualitative analysis to manage research initiatives, analyzing parking metrics, and driving strategic parking management initiatives.

    Requirements:

    • Developing and utilizing tools to evaluate parking operations.
    • Conducting schedule risk analysis and drafting products to support engagements by Program Office leadership.
    • Assessing current parking operations and developing efficient plans at different facilities.
    • Engaging in studies supporting construction projects and collaborating with various stakeholders.
    • Preparing reports and presenting research findings to stakeholders.
    • Interpreting technical details and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.

    Qualifications Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering, urban studies, or related field.
    • Minimum of three years of experience in transportation-related projects or studies.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Strong research and analytic skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and data presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in analytical programming languages, GIS software, and data analysis.
    • Experience in pooling data and creating data dashboards.
    • Experience in research, organizing information, and preparing reports.
    • Preferably experience in Transportation Planning or municipal government support.

    Work Environment:

    • The employee will work in a temperature-controlled office environment.
    • May encounter extreme weather conditions during site visits.
