Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties to ensure that the Temple buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner.
Responsibilities:
- Cleans and maintains buildings, grounds, and parking lot.
- Maintain roof areas with debris and leaves so A/C units work properly.
- Room setups for meetings, special events, etc.
- Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, building fixtures, windows, vents, walkways, parking lots.
- Gathers and empties trash and recyclable materials.
- Stocks bathrooms and cleans when needed.
- Advises office when maintenance and other necessary supplies need to be restocked.
- Maintain light fixtures as needed (i.e. change light bulbs, exit lamps, etc.)
- Performs basic plumbing maintenance.
- Assembles, repairs, and maintains office and classroom furnishing.
- Assists in building security, locking, and unlocking.
- Other similar duties and special requests as requested by the Office Manager.
Additional skills not required, but a plus:
Ability to paint interior and exterior building surfaces
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in building maintenance, preferably in a synagogue or similar setting
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and products
- Ability and mechanical understanding of hand and small power tools, ladders, shovels, basic repair tools and other special equipment used to perform job duties.
Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
