Beauty 2 The Streetz, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless population in Los Angeles County, San Deigo and Las Vegas, is seeking a passionate and experienced Food Truck Manager to oversee the operation of our mobile food truck.

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the food truck's operations, including menu planning, food preparation, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, and execute a diverse and nutritious menu that meets the dietary needs and preferences of the homeless population served by Beauty 2 The Streetz.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source highquality ingredients and food products at competitive prices.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and service operations on the food truck, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Train and supervise kitchen staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and feedback as needed to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and track expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
Develop and implement procedures for food truck setup, breakdown, and maintenance to ensure smooth operations during outreach events and activities.
Collaborate with program managers and outreach teams to coordinate food distribution schedules and locations effectively.
Maintain accurate records of food inventory, sales, and other relevant data for reporting and evaluation purposes.
Stay informed about local health regulations, food safety guidelines, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a food truck or catering environment.
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques, recipes, and menu planning.
ServSafe Food Handler certification required; ServSafe Manager certification preferred.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to food handling, storage, and sanitation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate outreach events and activities.
Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
