Description
OHB System AG in Bremen is seeking a Subsystem Engineer (m/f/d) for permanent employment in the Electrical Systems & Data Handling department at our Fort Washington location. As a Subsystem Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Supporting satellite projects from the pre-development phase to launch campaign, including in-orbit commissioning
  • Assisting with proposal preparation and evaluating subcontractor proposals
  • Assessing and evaluating power subsystem concepts during feasibility and pre-development studies
  • Analyzing system requirements and identifying power subsystem requirements
  • Defining requirements and creating and maintaining specifications for power subsystem equipment
  • Producing and maintaining documentation, such as analyses, specifications, test procedures, reports, and design descriptions
In addition, you will be responsible for designing and configuring power subsystems for satellite applications, including solar generators, batteries, and power conditioning and distribution units. You will also support system and subsystem reviews, coordinate technical work with customers, vendors, and subcontractors, and collaborate with project teams, system engineering, and other divisions. You will present your work internally and to customers, develop test concepts, and provide support during the testing phase.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience in satellite Electrical Power Systems during phases
