RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, prepares, and executes developmentallysupportive math lessons in accordance with Oakwood's Math department learning outcomes;
  • Collaborates with fellow Math teachers in designing and developing curriculum;
  • Maintains regular communication with studentsupport team members: parents, teachers, student services, deans, and other administrators and updates an organized assignment calendar and gradebook in Oakwood School's learning management system;
  • Serves as a middle school advisor to facilitate Oakwood's socialemotional learning curriculum, and
  • Constructively contributes to department and faculty meetings, as well as parent conferences and open houses; engages in regular communication with parents and administrators; and occasional supervisory duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant Middle School teaching experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including a high degree of cultural competency
  • Dedication to the wholeperson development of young people, including an enthusiasm for positive identity development and diversity, equity, and inclusion work
  • Proficient computer skills with Google Drive and Microsoft Windows office products, as well as with Desmos, Delta Math, and the TI84 Plus Graphing Calculator

Expected compensation:
$68,896 - $80,944
