JOB SCOPE:

The CCBHC Clinic Supervisor position requires prior clinical experience, excellent organizational skills, ability to coordinate and delegate tasks, ability to supervise interns and clinicians as assigned, in-depth knowledge of human behavior, DSM 5-TR criteria and strong diagnostic skills.

Clinic Supervisor is expected to oversee clinical and administrative operations, including developing effective strategies for case assignment, identifying gaps in service provision and following up appropriately, monitoring staff productivity, providing crisis intervention as necessary and closely monitoring high risk cases and incidents.

Clinic supervisor ensures that services are provided timely and in compliance with OMH & OASAS regulations and best practices. Clinic supervisor is responsible for orienting and training new employees and monitoring staff adherence to agency policies and standards.

Clinic supervisor carries a caseload, conducts intake evaluations, works closely with the rest of the team to oversee intake and admission processes.

As part of the clinical team, Clinic Supervisor will collaborate with other CCBHC Supervisors, CCBHC staff, and external service providers around the provision of additional services, including psychiatric rehabilitation, substance use, medication management, physical healthcare, and peer support.


CCBHC Clinical Supervisor is responsible for participating in mobile crisis team, with rotating on-call coverage to respond to community based crises outside of clinic operating hours.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide direct clinical services as defined in the CCBHC Clinician Job Description to a small caseload of consumer as needed.
  • Provide clinical supervision to CCBHC Clinicians and interns.
  • Monitor High Risk clients and Incident Reporting.
  • Oversee intake and admissions process.
  • Oversee staff performance and compliance with agency and OMH, OASAS, and CCBHC standards.
  • Review and oversee the timely and accurate completion of clinical case record documentation.
  • Oversee the collection and analysis of clinical care data and outcomes.
  • Provide oncall after hours coverage for the Crisis Team.
  • Perform other duties, consistent with the goals and objectives of the program, as directed by clinic director.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:


  • Familiarity with OMH, OASAS, and CCBHC regulations.
  • Knowledge of DSM 5TR criteria.
  • Knowledge and experience of electronic health records (specifically AWARDS by Footholds) preferred.
  • Must be able to use outlook, word, excel.
  • Must be reliable and able to work independently and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Master's degree and LCSW or LMHC required.
  • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and experience in work with families and groups.
  • Must be outcome oriented in a fastpaced environment with deadlines.
