Full Time/ Part Time: Part Time Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Funding: General Funds Other Conditions: For placement into the lecturer pool beginning Spring 2024. Subject to availability of funds and actual staffing requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In accordance with accreditation standards of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), the faculty is responsible for the following:

Work under the general supervision of the discipline coordinator/division chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area
Prepares and maintains course outlines and objectives, instructs and evaluates students, and reports progress
Participates in the assessment process, when appropriate
Cooperates with the program director in periodic review and revision of course materials, and maintains appropriate expertise and competence through continuing professional development.
Teach courses in the assigned subject area
Prepare course syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress;
Assess student learning in terms of course competencies and program learning outcomes
Submit self-assessment reports based on student and peer evaluations;
Maintain one office hour per week for each class taught (20 minutes per credit per week).
Classes may be offered online, evenings and/or weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Radiologic Technology; and
Documents eight hours per week of clinical experience in Radiologic Technology for two years; and is qualified to teach Radiologic Technology; and is knowledgeable of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising; and
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists current registration in radiography or equivalent plus current Hawai'i State licensure

Desirable Qualifications:

Work experience related to courses to be taught.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively.
Familiarity with competency- and outcomes-based instruction.
Knowledgeable of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising
