- 4 years of legal experience, claims management or similar
- Expert-level writing skills
- Strong understanding of claims management
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload and complete projects in a timely manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various medical teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
- Administrative support, including document review, benchmarking coverage vs premium, and claims management.
- Manage case preparation, from gathering necessary documentation to responding to subpoenas and coordinating council review.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements, with a keen eye on risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Manage calendar activities, ensuring timely preparation and notification of scheduled events to attorneys and deadlines for Risk Management Team.
- Maintain invoices and premium expenses for all insurance policies.
- Maintain Insurance policies, Certificates of Insurance
- Build and maintain strong client relations through effective communication and responsiveness.

Required Qualifications
Education: College degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: Experience in the maritime / shipping industry
Duties:
The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to trial litigation support, legal research, and case preparation. The individual should be adept at managing various legal processes, from contract negotiations to mediations and trials, with a strong focus on multi-state and multi-entity litigation. The candidate will also be expected to handle tasks related to vendor management, calendar management, document review, regulatory compliance, and office operations, including e-filing and e-billing.
