- Disseminate information regarding Workforce Development programs, which may include special and supportive services.
- Conduct preliminary client interviews, recording information regarding training needs, education, experience, skills, interest, and other relevance factors to determine eligibility and deliver service.
- Facilitate resource room, providing assistance with job searches, resume preparation, and other work search related activities.
- Administer employment assessments and test instruments.
- Learn to assess a client's employment potential and recognize a client's need for career development opportunities. Gain experience in verifying clients' eligibility for Workforce Development programs and benefits through exploration of needs, resources, entitlement issues, and documentary evidence and explains requirements of available services.
- Maintain case management records and appropriate documentation.
- Acquire program knowledge to answer questions about Workforce Development programs and other training and employment questions related to work and family issues, labor market trends, unemployment insurance benefits, and appeal procedures.

- May interact simultaneously with clients and a computer system to capture, record and access information.
- May provide clients with information regarding the quality of training offered by service providers.
- May conduct group orientation sessions to explain programs and services.
- Assist employers in establishing WIT accounts, provides technical assistance in using the job matching system to obtain optimum results.
- Interview employers for the purpose of obtaining job posting requirements and hire information/status.
- Match applicants' qualifications to requirements on employer's job orders; maintain contact with employers to take job orders, amend job posting information, and update tax information on WIT posting as needed.
- Assist in hiring activities such as job fairs either in the Center or employers' local business or selected location.
- Contact employers to establish or continue working relationships to verify satisfactory placements of workers referred and stimulate the use of the total facilities of the local center; discusses ways to improve services and meet their labor market needs more effectively.

- Two years and six months of full time qualifying experience in gathering information, interviewing or counseling; the instruction, demonstration, and interpretation of policies in a public or private enterprise; direct social work; eligibility determination; or in workforce development issues and programs and customer service.
- Fifteen semester hours of accredited college work may be substituted for each six months of experience.
