SUMMARY


This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Superintendent and School Board of Education to assist with efficiently operating the District.


DUTIES

  • Greets visitors, students/staff and callers, handles their inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
  • Act as liaison between the Superintendent, the Administrators, and the general public
  • Schedule appointments and maintain Superintendent calendar as needed
  • Assist the Superintendent with preparation and distribution of district correspondence, communications, meeting notes, and reports
  • Assist the Superintendent with preparation of annual programs, conference registration, and travel arrangements
  • Maintain, organize, serve as custodian for all personnel and district level files and records
  • Prepare the information packet for Board members, attend all board meetings and take minutes, post agendas and minutes on District website and ensure all required Board information is on the District Website
  • Prepare and post required legal publications (i.e. annual budget, tax levy, etc).
  • Completes local, state, and federal reporting as needed
  • Assist with preparation of materials for annual audits
  • Assist in updating and preparing Districtwide policies for review and approval for the Board of Education
  • Maintain and update Districtwide communication (ex. District website)
  • Prepare, process, and ensure completion of all required documentation for all new hire and former employees
  • Collaborate with and assist payroll and benefits specialist and billing specialist
  • Record, verify, and maintain all annual State level reporting as it pertains to certified/licensed staff (ie. SB7, EIS, Sequence of Honorable Dismissal, etc.)
  • Verifies purchase order information is correct and enter information into system for payment.
  • Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students, parents, and families.
  • Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with all stakeholders fellow employees, students, parents, and community members.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional, acceptable, and courteous manner with all stakeholders fellow employees, students, parents, and community members.
  • Participate in cross training with other office staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in office management or related field, preferred
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to work with teachers, education support personnel, building administrators and the general public.
  • Enforce school regulations and policies in a professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils.

Pay - Beginning at $20.00/hour.
