Safe+Sound Somerset, the only organization in Somerset County providing comprehensive services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, is seeking a Director of Housing & Financial Stability who will provide direction and supervision of housing and helpline services including the organization's 24/7 Talk and Text Helpline, Emergency Safe House, Case Management services and Housing First program, for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.


Our compassionate, evidence-based/informed programs are designed to provide safety, hope and healing to survivors and their children; and to educate, interrupt, and stop intimate partner violence by leveraging our expertise and advocating within systems to create safe spaces for all.


This position plays a critical role in partnering with leadership team in strategic decision making and operations, as we continue to enhance our quality programming and build capacity to support our community.

To be successful in this role, you will need in-depth crisis response, housing, case management and advocacy, and demonstrate the ability to lead diverse functional areas


The Director of Housing & Financial Stability is responsible for leading the organization's helpline and housing services including emergency safe house and housing first services.

The position is responsible for building community partnerships and identifying resources and trends that impact service delivery; guiding best practices within our trauma-informed, culturally responsive, Housing-First service model; defining the program's strategic direction; participating in long-range planning; directing and coordinating the implementation of plans for developing and expanding services in alignment with organizational, ethical, and client centered practices, community need and grant and fiscal compliance.

The position will serve as a member of the organization's leadership team to ensure consistency, collaboration, and service quality.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • 1. Minimum of five years' experience in domestic and/or sexual violence, or other crisis service in a residential setting preferred.
  • 2. Minimum of five years' case management and advocacy experience.
  • 3. Minimum three years' supervisory experience in crisis response environment.
  • 4. Bachelor/master's degree in social work, Human Services, or related field preferred.
  • 5. Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault 60 hr. training certificate a plus
  • 6. Trauma Informed training and/or certifications preferred.
  • 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, database navigation, remote communication, and virtual work technology.

$63, $85,000.00 per year
